My trip on Monday was a birthday present for a 15 year old boy from his mom. We were joined by one of his friends too. Our first stop was a little disappointing because there were a lot of fish on the sonar but we couldn't get them to bite. We decided to make a move to a little "beach" on Beaver Island to do a little swimming. That was a good idea since it was about 105 degrees :) We moved on up the lake and found a wind blown point in about 20 ft. of water that was holding some fish. I got the boat positioned and threw out some chum. It was 'Game On' from then on until 8 PM. We caught about 30 Blue Cats and kept 13 of the nicest ones. They were from 3 to 6 pounds. Everyone caught fish and they ended up with a big bag of Catfish fillets. Happy birthday Matt.
