Sat, Jul 31, 2010I had the pleasure of hosting six Airmen from Vance AFB in Enid today. We met at sunrise on Sooner to start our trip and it was a beautiful morning. We had high hopes of catching lots of Hybrids. The day quickly warmed and we had to accept that the fish were not going to cooperate on this trip. We looked hard at about 10 spots and there were fish everywhere. I tried every conceivable presentation of live and cut Shad as well as slab spoons with the same result. I was very proud to be among six of America's finest but frustrated at the same time that we could not get a bite.
