Skiatook Lake 5/30/2010
Sun, May 30, 2010What does a fishing guide do on his day off? Go fishing of course. I wasn't booked any over the Memorial Day weekend and I wanted some fresh fish for dinner on Sunday. I got up early today and got to Skiatook early enough to beat the holiday crowds to the lake. I checked out three spots and caught fish at each of them. I caught 15 Hybrids and about that many Sandies before 9 AM. I kept 5 of the Hybrids to bring home. I made a big bowl of Ceveche for lunch and fried some up for dinner. I've got enough to Blacken or Grill some for lunch tomorrow. I just love those fresh Hybrids. The bite is still awesome at Skiatook. I'm booked very heavily next week but I still have some dates open in June. Call or email me if you'd like to get in on some of the best Hybrid fishing I've seen in years.
