• Hot Morning at Skiatook

Sat, Apr 22, 2006 It started off slow and I had two very eager clients to please this morning. We got through the first hour with only two bites a two pound Smallmouth Bass and a 51/2 lb. Channel Cat. Not exactly the kind of morning I was expecting. The south wind came up and we made a move to another spot that I knew had been holding fish, The graph blacked out with fish and bait so I threw a bouy out and dropped the hook so I could stay on top of these fish. Turns out it was a school of very active feeders. We put out our lines and I started chumming. It was like ringing the dinner bell. It was constant fish on for the next three hours. We had doubles on several times. The biggest Hybrid was right at six pounds. We cleaned our limit and released more fish than I could count.
