After the morning storms we went up to
Keystone to get bait and met clients at Tall Chief around 2 PM. We
immediately got into some good sized Hybrids in Tall Chief Cove before we
even got out into the lake. It was pretty windy so we anchored up on a spot
where we had caught several. We fished there for a couple of hours until the
fish moved out. There was topwater action all over the place all afternoon
but we stayed on the bigger fish with 3 inch shad on down lines. All fish
were caught in the lower end of the lake. We ended up with 15 Brids, 10
Sandies and one worn out 11 year old boy. It was a good trip, the fall bite
is definitely on at Skiatook
