Saturday August 20, was a stormy afternoon all over northeast Oklahoma. I was at the lake by 3 PM with a tank of frisky shad. We got into fish pretty quick and they were good sized Hybrids. We pulled into a small cove and caught a couple of more on down lines then it happened. Large schools of big Hybrids started busting small shad on the surface. They stayed up for two hours. This was definitely the best Hybrid action I’ve seen anywhere this year. These surfacing fish were not dinks, they averaged four pounds with several over six pounds.
