Hybrid Bite is back!
Sat, Sep 24, 2005 All I can say is WOW. The Hybrid bite is back on at Skiatook. For those of you who yearn for a fishing report here goes. Saturday afternoon was awesome, I caught fish everywhere I went. Fished mainly in the lower end of the lake around Tall Chief. There were several members of the OSBA fishing one of there "fun days" after a fish fry at Mike Kelly's house. Those guys were on the fish too. I cleaned a limit of Hybrids for a fish fry and also cleaned a bunch of Sandies which were mixed in with the Brids. The Brids were all nice sized with the biggest at six pounds, most were 3-4 pounds. It was a blast on my light spinning tackle. All fish were taken on down lines except some of the Sandies were caught on Kastmaster spoons while feeding on the surface. There is lots of bait in the lower end of the lake, they are not shad but the Hybrids and Sandies are on a feeding frenzy.
