  • Super Saturday at Carl Blackwell

Sun, Apr 29, 2007  Saturday afternoon was a great day to be on the lake. I happened to be on the water with three clients over at Carl Blackwell. We hooked up about 40 good sized 'Brids and boxed 20 for a fish fry. We had good bait and experienced anglers that is the makings for a good trip. The weather was mild and everything came together. Right now is the time to go out after the hardest fighting fish in our state waters. If you need help give me a call. No Comments
  • Sunday on Skiatook

Sun, Apr 29, 2007 I had three clients up to Skiatook this afternoon. We had a fabulous time on some good sized 'Brids. We boxed 15 and released another 10. All 10 fish we released were over five pounds. The big fish of the day was 7lb. 7oz. I satrted off with a full tank of gas so I wouldn't have a chance to run out. I guess I would call that a good trip. I'm sure my clients would call it a good one. No Comments

The biggest was 5 lb. 10 oz. the rest were all close to 5 pounds. Water temps were 60 degrees and the fish were feeding actively.  No Comments
  • Severe Skiatook

Sat, Apr 07, 2007 I met a pair of avid anglers at TCC on Friday afternoon. The cows were standing up when I drove through Sperry so I was pretty pumped about getting to fish my favorite lake. We were greeted by 20-30 kt. winds, 3 ft. swells, and low 40 degree temps. I could just barely get my boat off the trailer it was blowing so hard. We went over to the ski pond and dragged some shad around over several schools of suspended fish but no takers there. We decided to take the long ride over to Skiatook point and got there... read more No Comments
  • Sunday 4/1/07 Skiatook

Sun, Apr 01, 2007 I had a trip booked for today but my clients had some last minute changes to their schedule and had to cancel. Talk about all dressed up and nowhere to go I was already loaded up and ready to go to Skiatook so Mandy and I headed on up there this morning to scout it out a bit. The lake is rising and the moon is full. I got into some pretty decent fish early down by Skiatook Point. The rest of the day was pretty slow. I did get one 4lb Green Perch and it was her lucky day,... read more No Comments
