• Skiatook Bite is HOT

  Sat, Jun 18, 2005 When Shawn Watkins says the Hybrid action at Skiatook is HOT you can take that to the bank. I talked to Shawn earlier in the week to discuss whether to go to Skiatook or Sooner. My brother from Missouri and his son from Washington State were in town yesterday, we stopped below the dam at Keystone to get bait then headed up to Skiatook for the afternoon bite.   Fri, Jun 17, 2005 Another awesome afternoon at Skiatook. there was quite a bit more boating activity today and lots more lake lice. However, that did not slow down the Hybrid bite. I'm convinced now that all that noise bothers me a lot more than it bothers the fish. I lost count of the number of Hybrids we caught, I had four anglers from Ponca City and we had a blast. • Waurika 6-10

  Tue, Jun 14, 2005 Waurika is HOT. I fished with a friend from work and Friday was awesome. We caught 22 Hybrids with none under five pounds, three were over ten pounds. About an hour before sundown it was constant "fish on". We had triple hookups three times in that hour. Saturday morning storms messed up the whole day, we could not find those fish on Saturday. Most fish were released, we kept a few that were hooked deep, most swam away to grow and fight another day. read more No Comments

• Sooner

  Sun, Jun 05, 2005 We hit Sooner at 3:00 PM on Sunday. I had four clients and we caught fish most of the afternoon. Had plenty of good sized Sooner baits and these guys had a good trip. Most fish were Hybrids this time, we only got two Stripers. We ended up down by the Dam with Tony Hughes and Jason Schaffler, at the end of the day when the loud bunch showed up.
