I made a scouting trip up to Sooner on Sunday afternoon, we fished several areas but never really found any active Hybrids. I always size down the tackle when fishing Sooner so I had my 8 Lb. spinning gear with me on this day. On the third hump we checked we found and caught five 10-12Lb. Stripers. These boys were brutes especially on the light spinning tackle. The first one I caught almost spooled my reel. I couldn't chase him with the boat because we were anchored. This had to be the best trip of the year so far.

Fished Saturday afternoon with my web design guru, his son, and a friend. We had a great day on the lake and got some good pictures. Five year old Zach Harris caught his first Hybrid and it looked to me like he really enjoyed it. The north winds have slowed the fishing quite a bit, but as spring rolls along it should be getting better each week.
