Today was the May "Party Boat" trip. we had four anglers on board today for a real nice trip. It started off a little slow but picked up considerably as the day went on. We ended the day with a dozen Hybrids in the box, a couple of blues, and a real nice Smallmouth Bass. The past two weeks have been Excellent on Skiatook. The weather has settled down, the water has warmed up to almost 70 degrees and the bite is RED HOT.

Wow, the fishing on Skiatook can't get much better than this. The past two weeks have been awesome. The fish are eager to bite and the size has been good. The average fish are 4-5 pounds this year. All fish are in very good body condition and the numbers are there. We dont catch fish in every place we stop but by the end of the day we've got a limit of fish!!

Today was a very different type of trip. The conditions were ideal for lots of catching. We got a good early start but the fish would just not cooperate. At noon with just one more hour to go we had ZERO fish in the box. For the next hour it was FISHON!! We had a triple going at one point. For some reason they just turned on and at the end of the trip we had a three man limit of Hybrids in the box. Click "read more" to see the pic.

The first two hous this morning were spent chasing fish at a spot where we've been having very good success lately. The fish were there but would not take a Shad!! Very frustrating for the guide so we moved on and started looking at a couple of more spots. When we found them we didn't move around much. Another awesome day on Skiatook. I had three clients on board today and by 9:45 this morning we were within two fish of our limit. The bite slowed down a bit and we went to look for bigger fish. We hit a few more spots with a fish here and there but not what we were looking for. We continued to catch and release until we were nearly done and I started to clean fish but it was game on again. We ended the day with three gallons of fillets a three person limit of Hybrids and several releases. It...
